Alen portret
👋🏻

Hello, my name is Alen. I'm a computer science engineer student based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I enjoy building things that live on the internet or in the real world.

About me

From The Netherlands. At home everywhere.
During high school I followed a three year programming course, which sparked my interest in computer science. But since my overall orientation in high school was more focused on economics, I decided to pursue a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Economics. I quickly realised that I was more interested in programming than in economics, which led me to switch to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering. What I love about programming is that it is a creative process that allows you to build anything you can imagine, all the building blocks are readily available. The problem solving aspect of programming is what makes me go the extra mile.

When I am not immersed in code, you will find me honing my Kyokushin Karate techniques, enjoying a vigorous game of Padel, or challenging myself with indoor bouldering. I am passionate about programming, sports, finance, and automobiles, with ambitions stretching from nurturing a family, steering a successful business, to starting a cancer research fund. My journey is all about learning.
